Marinated Chicken Kebab at Το Χάνι του Κάστρου
Chicken souvlaki (3 skewers) with pitta bread, wild rice, tzatziki and salad. Also available with pork instead of chicken.
✔ Chicken souvlaki was well-cooked, tender and juicy. Colour from barbecuing was good, without the souvlaki becoming burnt or dry. Spices from marinating were not overpowering.
✔ Pitta bread was toasted well
✔ Wild rice was not overcooked
✔ Vinaigrette on the salad was a nice addition
✔ Very relaxing environment - stoned walls, trees and soft lighting create a magical ambiance. Live music by young local musicians created a lovely atmosphere. View of Limassol's Medieval Castle.
✔ Quick service. We were also offered complimentary bread with butter as a starter and watermelon slices as dessert.
✘ Note that if you don't like cats or are allergic to them, you will probably find some strolling around the place, as in general the Castle area is a popular spot for cats.
- Will we be returning? Yes! The atmosphere was lovely and the food was good. Love that the fact that there is always live music with different repertoires each day of the week.
