Eggs Benedict at The Boys at Number Five, Nicosia
Poached eggs on a bed of ham, tomato and bread, with a hollandaise sauce.
✔ Eggs were runny, cooked on point
✔ Tomato complimented the dish very well - it took it to the next level
✔ Hospitable staff
✔ Love the modern, minimal design of the place - wood, marble with baby pink touches
Overall, we liked the idea of the twist on the traditional dish
✘ Would like some more toasting on the ham
✘ Hollandaise sauce tasted okay but was very buttery and lacked the smoothness and thick consistency usually expected by a hollandaise sauce
- Will we be reordering? Although we do love the innovative idea of the dish, the pancakes are a much better option!
